For more than 17 years, Shirley Tan worked at the Internal Revenue Service as an auditor, rising to the top of her profession at the IRS. As an IRS agent, Shirley conducted audits of F1040 (individual), F1020 (C corporations), F1120S (S corporations) and F1065 (partnerships) and accumulated a wealth of auditing experiences, becoming IRS Seattle/Bellevue offices’ top senior agent. In addition to being an auditor, she was engaged in mentoring, training and teaching new and less experienced agents at the IRS for years, especially in the more complex tax law area of S corporations and partnerships.
Since leaving the IRS, Shirley has helped many clients in their tax matters. Whether you are a non-resident alien, resident alien or US citizen, with her inside knowledge and business expertise, she can help you resolve any issues you have with the IRS or any questions you may have, or develop the best tax strategies for the current and future years. For Chinese immigrants with cross-border assets, generating income through business and nonbusiness transactions, Shirley is the person you want to speak to for your understanding of the US tax law and IRS functions.
